Are you detail-oriented, passionate about making a difference, and looking for a role where your work supports the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s mission? The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)—the private fundraising and alumni relations organization for UW–Madison—is seeking a Limited Term Employment (LTE) Gift Analyst to join our team from November through January 2026.

 

The Gift Analyst performs a wide variety of processes and procedures related to philanthropic contributions received by the Foundation for the benefit of the University of Wisconsin Foundation. They analyze gift and pledge information and documentation from various sources and update donor records according to donor intent, organization policies, industry standards, and government laws. Gift Analysts provide exceptional service to donors, colleagues, and internal and external stakeholders 

 

We can hire for this role 100% remote. Remote candidates must reside in one of the following states to be considered: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Texas, or Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association is a private, nonprofit corporation that encourages individuals and organizations to make gifts to the university and to connect with the UW. In 2014, the UW Foundation merged with the Wisconsin Alumni Association® to better serve a growing population of UW alumni and donors. We believe that private support grows out of good relationships between campus leaders, faculty and program staff who need support, and the alumni and friends who want to invest in UW–Madison. We provide important engagement opportunities to link UW–Madison alumni to each other and to their alma mater, building a strong community of Badgers.

Essential Functions

  • Support a service-oriented atmosphere in accordance with WFAA’s and Gift Services’ mission, vision, and values.

  • Commit gifts and pledges into the CRM database with a high level of accuracy and within the designated timeframe. Analyze gift instruments and accompanying data and documentation from multiple revenue channels. Evaluate pertinent constituent data, fund designations, benefit information, and other applicable data points to ensure receipt is released accurately and in-line with tax rules. Utilize existing technology to load, reconcile, and import revenue data when available.
  • Collaborate with WFAA colleagues and UW partners, ensuring gifts and pledges are handled according to organization policies, industry standards, and IRS requirements. Provide timely and effective service and communication to our donors and other stakeholders, resolving questions and requests via ticketing system, email, messaging system, and/or phone calls.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for professional development to enhance individual, team, and organization effectiveness. Develop subject matter expertise, practice knowledge-sharing, identify and implement process improvements, and contribute to the maintenance of robust procedural documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to internal training and cross-training and potential in-office tasks and meetings (depending on employee’s location).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ professional experience in business operations, customer service or data management roles.
  • Experience in customer/constituent relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 Other Qualifications:

  • Computer Skills, etc.Bachelor’s degree or some college education in accounting or business-systems field.
  • Experience in gift processing.
  • Experience working at non-profit/not-for-profit organizations.
  • Experience with Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) fundraising software.
